Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Klippa ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these terms.
2. Description of Service
Klippa provides salon management software including appointment scheduling, client management, point of sale, automated notifications, and related services. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with various plan tiers.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
- One person or business may not maintain more than one free account
4. Subscription & Billing
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance in Indian Rupees (₹)
- All prices shown are exclusive of GST; applicable GST is disclosed before you complete payment and shown on your invoice
- Klippa issues GST-compliant tax invoices for all paid subscriptions
- You may upgrade or downgrade your plan by arrangement while self-serve billing is being finalised
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice
5. Free Trial
Paid plans include a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial, your account will be moved to the Free plan unless you talk to us about moving to a paid plan (self-serve billing is being finalised).
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
- Upload malicious code or content
- Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam)
7. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. You grant us a limited licence to use your data solely to provide and improve the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We provide data export tools to facilitate this.
8. Payment Processing
Payment processing is provided by Stripe. By using our payment features, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Where online payment processing is offered, any applicable processing fees will be disclosed before you enable them. We are not liable for payment disputes between you and your clients.
9. Client Notifications & Communication Consent
Klippa sends appointment confirmations, reminders, and related transactional messages to your clients by email on your behalf, using the contact details you enter for them. WhatsApp-based notifications are planned but not yet available.
By adding a client's contact details to the platform, you confirm that you have their consent to be contacted by Klippa on your behalf for appointment-related communication, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable Indian communication and data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable TRAI regulations on commercial communications.
10. Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime caused by scheduled maintenance (announced in advance), force majeure events, or third-party service outages.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Klippa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Cancellation & Termination
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
- Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your billing period
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
- Upon termination, you may request export of your data within 30 days
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on the platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
